So here we are …. 2012. The year the world’s supposed to come to an end.
I’ve been thinking about tweaking this blog a bit, making it a bit more personal than it has been in the past. I’ve thought about a 365 day project but realise that I’m also pretty lazy or extremely busy. My promise is I’ll try to make it a bit more exciting by posting photos, thoughts and try to force myself to be more creative than I have been in the past.

FINALLY booked my accommodation for Byron Bay today.
I’ve heard really good things about Aquarius backpackers so was keen to go there, unfortunately they’re all booked out.
This was my next option, a bit further away from the beach in comparison to Cape Byron YHA, but these guys have lockers in the dorms - a big plus for me considering that I’m a solo traveller. Hopefully it’s rad!

Went for a ride along the Glenelg shoreline tonight with Age and Josh.
Tried out my fancy new phone and downloaded the RunKeeper and Foursquare apps which let me check in and calculate the distance we rode. It calculated to a very minimal and short 6.22kms which was pretty good considering the sun went down mega quick.
Now it’s almost 11pm and I still have to pack for my Gold Coast holiday, so back to it!
Day 1 of being a Senior Refugee Support Worker begins tomorrow. Being promoted is awesome, but also means a heck of a lot more paperwork & responsibility. Hopefully it goes well!
